Seventeen Weeks

+ Grab a snack & tea or coffee, this is a long post! +

"Baby’s senses are developing fast, and his/her brain is beginning to coordinate with his/her other developing systems, like the way it’s starting to regulate her heartbeat, instead of letting it beat willy-nilly like it has been. Baby’s umbilical cord is also growing stronger, and getting better at delivering nutrients to him/her. Basically, Baby is having a ball, at this point. You, on the other hand, could be seeing your sleep schedule start to get disrupted, and you might notice weird dreams as a result.

Baby is now 5 inches long, about the size of a pomegranate, and the soft cartilage that makes up his/her skeleton is ossifying, or turning into bone. You can help Baby out with the bone-hardening process by making sure you’re getting plenty of the usual suspects: calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamins A, C, and D, and then a couple of less common nutrients, like riboflavin and phosphorous.
The umbilical cord is strengthening, and Baby’s heart is beating up to 150 times a minute, and is now controlled by his/her brain rather than beating at random intervals. Furthermore, his/her brain is continuing to develop senses of sight, smell, sound and touch, and his/her arms and legs have reached their normal proportions and will continue to grow at this constant rate from here on out. He/She is developing her coordination, so that he/she will be all ready to take on the world in just a little more than a trimester and a half. If Baby is a girl, she is also already producing millions of eggs in her ovaries that she could use to be a mom herself someday!" Information from Ovia

Hallelujah! My energy is finally back! Although, I do get tired around 7:30/8pm and struggle to stay awake past those times unless I am being productive. This week was full of fun regardless of my exhaustion & constant headache from my neck injury (happened 6 months ago).

We decided to start out weekend off by going to Lowe's to looking for floating shelving units for books (not successful) & the bathroom (great success!) Spencer found his dream BBQ & so Saturday we spent it outside with the cold iced drinks, iced tea & iced latte to be exact. I tried to get a little tan but I couldn't handle the heat too well so I think it was a failed attempt.
Sunday we played board games with a couple of friends, did house chores & relaxed. It was such a good weekend!

A big thing Spencer & I have changed was our spending habits on eating out. We have been so good the last month or so by eating at home & bringing lunches to work. Not to toot my own horn but I've always been good for bringing lunches to work but Spencer on the other hand... hehe sorry Hunny! It was a big habit for us to change now that we have little one on the way. Having a new BBQ has already helped us use a lot of food in the house! We stock up on frozen chicken often when it goes on sale so we have been bringing BBQ chicken, sauteed seasonal veggies and rice for lunch this week. NOMS! Last week was Cranberry & Turkey Soup! (pictured below) Another great habit we have broken is the sweet craving. Instead of having junk food, sugar coated candies. I've been having fruit and yogurt if I ever want anything sweet and Spencer has been having loads of popcorn we can make at home. Eating healthy & making better choices financially is the biggest accomplishment I believe of this year!
Eating healthy has been a huge thing on my mind since most of my cravings and aversions have disappeared. I couldn't handle the thought of chicken or vegetables and just wanted junk in the first trimester. Now all I want is fresh fruit, fresh vegetables (thank goodness for RootCellar being around the corner). I've also gained the correct amount of weight for little bean & to have a healthy pregnancy. I feel like most of the weight is in my chest, belly & a little in the thighs. Now that I've talked about my weight gain. Take a look at the sweet treats I've made that have taken over my sugary candy cravings. One bizarre aversion is chocolate.

"Campfire" Strawb S'mores
Raspberries, vanilla yogurt, semi sweet dark chips & whip
Apple, Carrot, Beet, Lemon, Ginger, Celery & 1oz of Wheatgrass

It's been tough for me to keep active & go for walks/hikes because I get so tired by the end of the day so if I want to accomplish a nice long walk or hike it has to be in the mornings when I have the most energy. For that reason, I have been choosing my meals wisely apart from the occasional ice cream heheh. On another note, I have officially switched into all maternity wear.

I have been feeling really uncomfortable because my shirts no longer fit properly & my pants are getting waay to tight. I went to Old Navy and got some cute shirts and some dresses. The dress in the photo above is my favourite dress! I feel so good in it and feel cute & confident.. Unlike before! I felt frumpy & insecure.

On another note, I've been incredibly lucky with symptoms, aches & pains recently as well! The only symptoms I can comment on this week are being exhausted, bleeding gums, stretch marks of death, hungry always & some boob pain. Sometimes it worries me that I don't feel as if I have many symptoms but then I remember it could be a lot worse! I've officially moved to the coconut oil tribe. I love it! My skin has been incredibly dry to the point my heels were cracking! It was awful and painful. I thought that only happened to the elderly! LOL Sorry if any grandmothers read this. I guess that's another symptom! I've been using coconut oil religiously since I found normal moisturizer just doesn't penetrate. Also, any other soon to be mommas.... I highly recommend seeing your dentist even though you're signing yourself up for torture when they floss your teeth... It must be done! Do nooot stop flossing because even if your gums bleed you're removing that bad blood that could cause gingivitis away from the gum area and letting new blood come through to heal the inflamed area... So the hygienist told me. You also don't want to brush your teeth after an episode of vomiting or acid reflux! It will actually cause the acid to be moved around your teeth and create more issues.
FUN FACT: Babies cannot be born with the the bacteria that creates cavities. IF your child becomes prone to cavities & bad dental it is because the parent transfers it to the baby or say if someone with bad dental issues kisses your child on the face.
To conclude this update. I have a lovely maternity doctors today and I'm excited to see how things are progressing as far as how big my belly has grown in size & to make sure everything is A-okay with my blood pressure & all the good stuff. :) Counting down the days until we see little one in 3D!!! T minus 10 days!

The Pregnancy Apps for IOS/Android That I Adore.

You can call me crazy for having so many pregnancy/baby apps but I love the information each IOS application gives me. I get notifications daily saying new information about baby & cute little facts.
It is my favourite thing to wake up and learn something new & share with my spouse while we both slowly wake up in the mornings!

My #1: Ovia Pregnancy Tracker

When I found out I was pregnant I went right to the app store and downloaded every pregnancy app I saw had the best ratings. I also asked my fellow new-mom friends what apps they liked using during their pregnancy. Ovia is my #1 because it gives you so much! It's also geared towards YOU so you don't forget about your health & wellness in the midst of pregnancy.

•    Daily Updates on what the heck is going on in there!- Each day I can log into the app for a quick update or two if you're lucky on what is going on at this stage of pregnancy. The app has some fun facts & also great sarcasm like when it told me if I was having a baby girl her ovaries are developed and carrying the eggs of my grandchildren! LOL It said in brackets "too soon? Too soon..) It’s helpful to know what’s developing each day and what growth changes are taking place.

•    Weekly Growth Updates- Each week you get a cute little update on what size the baby is. For example, I am now 17 weeks and baby is the size of a tangy pomegranate! You can also change the theme of from fruit to animals, toys, and even Parisian baked goods!

•    Calendar- I really like the calendar feature, although I don’t use it to its fullest capacity. It allows you to track all doctor appointments and milestones throughout the entire pregnancy and also your medications you take like Vitamin D, Iron supplements, prenatal. The list goes on. :)

•    Milestones- speaking of milestones, it tracks that too! So any unsolicited belly rubs, baby bump photos, baby showers, etc. You name it, you can track it through a milestone of some sort within the app. I really enjoy being able to go back to early July and look at what I was feeling and thinking as we were getting more used to the news of little one.

•    Hand print- this is probably my absolute favourite feature of the app! Each week there is a little hand print that grows to show you just how big baby’s hand is that week. Every single Thursday morning, right after turning off my alarm I open the app, just so I can see how big little one's hands are that week. They also just upgraded the app so it has a footprint as well now!

The app has a ton of other really great features as well, so many good ones I can’t mention them all. If you or someone you know is expecting I would definitely recommend checking this app out. I appreciate getting daily updates on little one's growth and development and I’d rather get it throughout the week versus reading a chapter in a book! Woomp Woomp.

My #2: The Bump

The one thing I specifically like about The Bump is that it shows each week how baby is progressing in a 3D program you can launch right from the application itself. you can look around the 3D baby a full 360 degrees. It also has points on where the baby is developing with facts! You can zoom into any part of the baby as well.

My #3: Glow Nurture

Glow Nuture app boasts that it is the most simplistic of all pregnancy applications to use.. I would like to emphasize how it is super customizable & so the information it gives you is specifically made for you. that has been shared of the years the app has been out. It also has forum pages you will find that can be a little difficult to navigate sometimes. It's a great addition to the app that many other applications don't have & can be helpful for support. The community is great! You also get access to hundreds of pregnancy articles and some weeks the app will future certain expert doctors for Q&A's.

Sixteen Weeks

This week has been kind of a rollercoaster! From feeling super awesome to feeling extremely exhausted. This week has been all about food so sorry for all the food posts lately on Instagram if you follow me! you'll notice I enjoy taking "flatlays" of my food to LOL Isn't that pretty much what Instagram was made for anyways?

We officially built the crib as well, it's become so real! I love how simplistic the Graco 'Ashleigh" design is.
Officially, 16 weeks! I am so in love. Baby is the size of a naval orange or avocado & the length of a good 4.61 inch pickle says my app I use (I'll be doing a blog post on my favourite baby apps!).
After it was built we just stared at it & smiled. Spencer said "Little ones bed is made!" 💗 My heart melts whenever he makes comments. It just makes me so happy & appreciate that he's just as excited or who knows! Even more heheh. He wants a baby girl. Daddy's little girl. I said I want a little mama's boy but really we're both okay with whatever sex little one is! He or She is growing so much now! I didn't think I was showing much.. Until I took this photo!! Sometimes I think it's just a bunch of bloat. I noticed on May 20th when I woke up and looked in the mirror I didn't look that big..

Let the crib building commence, with the most Canadian craving ever & Silver waiting in the crib thinking it's her new bed probably. LOL

I've been feeling pretty good apart from morning sickness hitting me every now and then. It normally happens if I try to have a heavy meal like bacon & eggs. My stomach just does NOT like eggs right now. Nor does it like red meat. I ended up feeling extremely awful Thursday night after having some red meat. The acid reflux was UNREAL it made me vomit a couple of times throughout the night. I ended up staying home on Friday because I was so so tired. I ended up having steak the following night and it was delicious. I didn't actually like the bearnaise sauce we made with it so that is in the photo below but wasn't touched! As for veggies.. I really wanted to enjoy some asparagus and it was actually really tough to eat! I don't know what it is..

The next morning I couldn't decide what I wanted for breakfast so I just made everything I wanted! I've been trying to eat cleaner... Less sugar/candy (None at all this week actually!) I've been craving watermelon like it's going out of style or any fresh fruit at this point. Just YUM!

This Thursday I will be 17 weeks.. It will be interesting to see if anything changes in the next couple of days.

Acid Reflux
Dizzy Spells
Gas Pains
Extreme nipple tenderness
Feeling as if my vision is getting worse!

We also have two ultrasounds scheduled for next month. I am SO excited to find out the baby's sex and to see little one again! We are doing a 3D Ultrasound at UC baby! We get to these in the Silver Package.

My experience telling my employment about my pregnancy.

I just started a new position and had no idea I was pregnant at the time! Facing the ethical dilemma was mentally rough. I just transitioned into a new law group. Going from Civil Litigation (high stress) to Justice & Education Law (less stress) I was so excited!
I was just ending my auxiliary position a month prior to obtaining the position I have now and it was a lengthy interview process. I was almost certain I didn't get the position because I hadn't heard back for two weeks. Thankfully my current supervisor called for a meeting to hire me! I was so nervous but so excited. I started the middle of February.
I found out I was pregnant two days after beginning my new position... My spouse and I wanted to have a family but hadn’t expected it to happen so fast. We somewhat planned for when he turns 30 or around the time.. So 4 more years away.. Clearly wasn't in the cards for us! I plan to work full time after the baby is born & I get my maternity leave. But what should I tell my employer?
I was so worried to tell my supervisor about my pregnancy, I was certainly feeling as if I was risking my position by telling them too early. Despite the fact that pregnancy discrimination is illegal. (An employer cannot treat a woman differently because she is pregnant, may become pregnant or because of a pregnancy-related leave of absence.) I still felt like it would happen one way or another.
I’m a realist. I was convinced I wouldn't keep my position if I admitted the truth early. So I remained silent as I flip flopped on the choice to tell my supervisor earlier than 12 weeks... When I became 12 weeks along. By the time, I was already mentally anguished of keeping the secret. It was overwhelming me and causing a bit of stress. I had to tell my employer...
I was worried because I have heard horror stories & losing respect in the workplace or being treated differently. I was so worried I would be then put in this stressful position of hating my new job!
All that worrying & stressing was for absolutely nothing. My supervisor & main boss were very supportive and made sure I had past my 30 day probation period in order to deem benefits etc. I was so relieved. It felt so good to finally get it off my chest and be able to embrace my pregnancy. The guilt I felt had completely vanished. If you know me personally you will know I love working & I take a lot of pride in what I do. I was feeling guilty because I just started this position with full intent to work a couple of years THEN start a family. I had a week of guilt and thinking is this right? Will this be okay for my future? Thankfully I reassured myself and snapped out of it.
In the end, any pregnant woman facing this dilemma needs to choose the best path for herself. A woman desperate for income and a job may find it’s just too risky to come clean before she is offered the position. And I wouldn’t judge her for that. Because given the choice between two-equally qualified candidates, wouldn’t an employer always chose the one who won’t be going on maternity leave? I think this is a fair assumption for any expectant mom.

Week Fifteen

Week Fifteen

This week has been really good! I haven't had morning sickness nor have I experienced unbearable hunger. Finally! However, I have been once again crazy exhausted. I found myself coming home and having dinner then heading to bed just as if I were 8 weeks pregnant all over again. I've been slacking on my water consumption lately as week so I picked up some teas so I can make fruity iced teas and some of Davids Tea's cocktail summer collection. I tried the Sangria in store and I had to ask the sales associate to double check no alcohol was in it! It tastes exactly like real sangria. It will be perfect for when everyone is enjoy it in the summer and I'll whip out my tea!

On the bright side of this week, we got out official anatomy scan scheduled and we couldn't be more excited! We have bits & pieces for a gender reveal or sex reveal whatever you prefer to call it and so many ideas being thrown around for the main event!

Spencer & I are getting more and more excited to start purchasing items for the nursery. We have been checking out Amazon and thinking about getting Amazon Prime since we see a lot of things we would like to purchase because of the great prices! We have been generously given a white crib which is perfect because it turns into a toddlers bed. It was what I was exactly looking for!

This was just a little gift from the Civil Litigation Group I worked in for 6 months. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! Here I thought I would have been just forgotten because well I was only in the group for a short period of time until I moved to the floor above! The card was seriously the cutest. I will keep it forever.

What They Don't Tell You About The Beginning Of Pregnancy!

Get ready for some TMI!

Soo, you’ve told people you’re pregnant by twelve weeks and so the questions begin, “how do you feel?”, “are you tired?”, “do you have morning sickness?” , “are you hungry?”, etc.
Symptoms like fatigue, nausea, back and joint pain, constant peeing, constant hunger and being “emotional” (both good and bad) are all considered for the course when it comes to pregnancy so no one is too surprised by them. However, there are many more "delights" that can come along with a positive pregnancy test that people don’t talk about or show you in the movies. This is what I have experienced so far in my pregnancy.
Let`s just start this off with a great pregnancy TMI.
Im just going to quickly add this little tid-bit in because I don`t have enough to write about it under a number.. Two words: Nipple Chafing. (THE WORST) When I was not pregnant I would have almost zero feeling in my nipples.. WELL that has now changed. It went from 0 - 100 real quick.

Let`s get this show on the road.
1. Pre-baby sleepless nights
One thing I have been experiencing is that I wake up at 3 am and I cannot for the life of me go back to sleep! Most nights it's because I have to go to the washroom and I'm hungry but others I'm just wide away after 3-4 hours of sleep. Pregnancy makes most women tired, particularly in the first and third trimesters as I am told, but it also brings with it insomnia in various forms.
I tend to think of it as nature’s cruel way of preparing you for sleep deprivation, but that hasn’t kept me from trying to fix it. If you’re desperately in need of a night’s sleep, I hope one of these strategies will help.

  • Nice warm Epsom Salt bath before bed to relax you
  • Prenatal Yoga stretches
  • Go to sleep as soon as you are feeling tired
  • Pregnancy Pillow SNOOGLE! I swear by my Snoogle.

2. You Might Break Out in Acne like a teenager:
If you never suffered from acne you are blessed BUT get ready for a little because hormones can stimulate your sebaceous glands, which can then cause zits. The best part?! You can’t use a lot of the stuff that we use to treat them like tetracycline, accutane, concentrated vitamins A etc. because they can cause nasty birth defect. I have unfortunately suffered from acne & cystic acne for the last couple of years. My skin is finally looking 10x better than it did for the last couple of weeks! Thankfully here are some cleansers & spot treatments that are safe during pregnancy.
Spot Treatments

My favorite facial wipes are the Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Clothes as a toner for after cleansing my face or just a mid-day face wipe!

3. HAIRY EVERYWHERE, you may even grow a beard.Okay, so maybe I`ve exaggerating a tad. You probably won’t be sporting a full-on beard (hopefully!), but facial hair growth, in general, is a very real pregnancy symptom so be on guard. Your raging hormones can be blamed for this one, since they’re what’s causing your hair to grow at super-fast speeds and maybe even in some new (and embarrassing) places. But at the end of the day, it’s a small price to pay for baby; so buy a home waxing kit and remember it will all end soon.. Or just be on top of your shaving game! I will say, do NOT shave your belly. As crappy as it is to grow longer peach fuss hair on your belly it is even worse when you break out in a rash for a good two weeks.... I did the mistake of this and Im still waiting for it to fully go away! Do not tamper with it!

4. You May Be Congested:
Some women suffer from nasal congestion during their pregnancy and it can be a huge drag. Estrogen causes the mucous membranes in your nose to swell along with everything else so it can cause congestion and even nosebleeds! I have yet to experience even my first ever nose bleed in my life but I have woke up congested. Thankfully it is only every other day and not a huge issue.

If it really bothers you I would suggest a salt solution spray or to purchase a neti pot to clear your sinuses!
5. You May Have Heartburn:
Remember that awesome hormone, progesterone that relaxes your uterus so it doesn’t eject your baby like a pilot seat from a plane?(LOL) Well, it’s also relaxing a muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter. Yes, sphincter.. say it out loud and have a little giggle if you must! This loosening can cause stomach acid to back up into your esophagus. Heartburn has so many different names like acid indigestion, acid reflex or good ol' heartburn, it can feel like you’re gargling battery acid and it’s awful.
Unfortunately, I have been dealing with acid reflux for the past couple of weeks and the only way I have been able to combat the reflux is by taking Zantac. (Please consult with your doctor before taking any medication or if the doctor has not given you the pamphlet with the safe medications you can take while growing little one in your belly).
Thankfully this throat valve goes back to keeping the fires at bay once you’ve given birth.

6. You Might Get Sweaty:
Pregnancy “glow” is often caused by this internal furnace overdrive so hopefully your rosy cheeks and dewy complexion with distracting from your wet pits and cleavage-stream. Let`s be real. I carry natural baby wipes in my purse with me because I have never worn deodorant because I have never needed it! I noticed I have been sweating more often and when I catch it I just bring out the wipes real quick. I have no shame! Same with boob sweat. You gotta do whatcha gotta do ladies!
7. You can become constipated right from the beginning of pregnancy!
I knew it was a symptom & something that happens when your digestive system slows down but I didn't realize it would happen so fast! I remember at the beginning of my pregnancy I told my friend and she was like "you're barely pregnant".. If you're positive test & doctor confirmed the pregnancy you are not barely pregnant... YOU ARE FULL ON PREGNANT. You have extra progesterone pumping through you & it’s pretty important – hence the name that means “pro gestating” – because it relaxes your uterus muscles so you don’t have early contractions (just to name one of its important jobs). The downside is that it helps relax all your muscles so you get constipated easily.

How to combat constipation!
“Wouldn’t relaxed muscles actually give me diarrhea?” you say. You'd think but really your intestinal tract actually works very hard to move stuff through, so once they get a little lazy, shit stops moving. Literally. Shit stops moving.
Move more, drink water, eat small meals and increase your fibre intake seems to be the suggested course of action. Just don’t use laxatives (or at least talk to a medical provider before you do) because they can screw things up even more and there may be an easier fix before you go that route.

Week Fourteen

Week Fourteen

This week was full of morning sickness after breakfast each morning & hip pain! I had a doctors appointment to do my 4-week regular check up and everything is progressing perfectly! My belly is measuring up on point & babies heart rate was 157 BPM. We listened to littleone's heart for some time because he or she was kicking like crazy! It was the most beautiful thing to me. I started to tear up and couldn't hide my massive smile just listening to it. I was so over the moon. Other than that my only symptoms are morning sickness, waking up starving & hip pain in my left side. I noticed babe is sitting right on my left side the most so that could be the reason for the pain being on one side and not the other.

My other half and I had made plans to go on a little vacation to Tofino and that is a 4.5 hour drive. Thankfully my bladder cooperated! We got to the Wickinnish Inn and were in awe the moment we got there!
We checked in around 4PM and this was the first photo I snapped while in the lobby. It's beautiful!

We were told we were upgraded to a deluxe suite and brought to our room. We felt so taken care of. We explored our new homestead for the next 4 days and got a call that chocolate covered strawberries were being sent up to our room. Uhm ROYALTY TREATMENT! Well, it felt that way. We read the letter from the operations manager and ate the strawberries right away because how can you resist. Our next move was to go explore the little town of Tofino. We walked around and checked out all the closed shops.. They close around 5PM so we went back towards our hotel and had cod tacos at this place called Wild Side. Holy smokes do you ever get a lot for $13.

Our first day was a success. We went back & relaxed. I ran a bath because I knew I would be taking full advantage of the soaker tub!  I brought my Lush bath bombs with me of course.

The next morning I woke up at 3am because I was so hungry and so I never went back to sleep! Spencer was awake as well just because it was really hot in our room because he didn't think about how hot it would get. We thought it was safe since it was cold out! Anyways, we got up and made some tea and decided to walk on the beach! It was gorgeous. We had a lovely bald eagle hang out around us too!

Breakfast time! I ordered two plates because both looked so appealing to me.. Sadly only the granola, yogurt, and fruit stayed down but ah well! I had never ordered room service before while staying at hotels or anything and so I really wanted to take advantage of it while away. It was almost like a bucket list item of mine!

We had such an amazing time in Tofino just relaxing and trying out the restaurants, coffee shops and beach walks. We would definitely go back! Our last breakfast before we left to head back home.

More photos from our trip!

Week thirteen

Week 13!

This week has been hands down probably the easiest although I will say sleeping is getting more uncomfortable. I had my 4th doctors appointment and met with the other side of the team that will be in the delivery room with me if my main doctor is away or anything. It went really well! My belly is measuring on point and baby was very active for the fetal doppler! It took not even a second to find little one with such a strong heart beat at 157BPM and whoosh sounds that I was told are baby kicks! When we listened I teared up and almost cried I was just so happy. I can't believe I have a little human inside still! I have no new symptoms or cravings at the moment but I noticed my sweet tooth is disappearing and normally I have a pretty big one! Im starting to get energy back and less morning sickness which is a huge plus. I wake up feeling so ready for the day and wanting to go out for walks! I've taken this week off (hitting 14 weeks) and I've been relaxing around the house and just taking time to myself. It's been so nice! I decided to bring out the sleepers today just to look at them. No other reason. Im just so excited! The one on the left is from soon to be again Grandma Julie. It will be great if baby is too big to fit into Newborn sizes but I did purchase the one on the right from Petit Lem it was on sale so I snagged it because it is gender neutral since we don't know what we're having yet!

Here is just a precious moment with Spencer resting his head on my pelvis lightly <3 One of our kitties Zoe coming in for some snuggles!

It's about that Thyme!

Little Thyme Maternity clothing haul. I picked up some essentials and I'am OBSESSED with the maternity jeans! I picked up a couple of black two way maternity tanks as well because I normally always wear a black tank under any shirt but they weren't covering my belly anymore! Back to the jeans for a quick second though! I've never felt more comfortable wearing jeans weirdly enough. I haven't worn jeans in years because of weight gain & I was angry at the size which I should have never listened to! I gained weight in 2015 after my mums passing away and in 2016 I lost the weight but never bothered to purchase new jeans. Until these beauties!! I could careless about what the label says anymore as long as I'm comfortable & healthy!

The dress is from Thymes Summer Collection I will link you to it hereI loved how comfortable it made me feel and the colors are perfect as I am very much into neutrals and blues. The two shirts are also from the new summer collection and what I loved about these and being my first two cute maternity shirts is the length! I was showing my spouse and he thought they were dresses but I had to explain I will grow into them and they will cover bump and the top of my maternity jeans perfectly. You can find both tops here & here
What you don't see in the photo is the amazing maternity bras! So comfy and supportive. I think I will be coming back for more shirts & bras in the near future and I can't wait now for the Fall Collections.. I have a feel Thyme will be taking a full pay cheque from me very soon..

I would also like any new moms out there or moms to be Thyme has a #BeautifulAsLife contest going on until May 7th you can enter by hashtagging Beautiful As Life on Instagram on your beautiful moment or upload right to the site here. They have an AMAZING prize pack and 15 smaller prizes to runner ups!

Good Luck!
